Cicely was born in Boulder, Colorado, USA. She went to the American International School in Vienna, Austria. She has been silk painting and creating fine art since graduating from St. Martin’s College of Art in London England. She was a colorist for textile converters in New York City. She then moved to Los Angeles in the early 80’s, where she established “Cicely”, her silk painting company. She has hand-painted silks for boutiques and major museum gift shops, such as the High Museum, Whitney, and LACMA. She has had her work in various art shows around the country, as well as local Los Angeles craft shows. Recently she has been creating silk designs using Indian sugar, and from these designs she has created a fantastic collection of Kaleidoscope images.
